Digital Journal Entry
Hello world!
I am still travelling and I am still enjoying myself, but I’ve hit a bit of a speedbump. Thailand is an incredibly extroverted place, and I’m simply just not an extrovert. It’s a bit difficult. Every night it feels as though I need to actively engage in everything rather than do stuff at my own pace. That’s how it feels. Every tourist activity is in a group and there’s lots of loud, upbeat participation, even when I’m lucky enough to get onto a tour with very few people. It’s mentally exhausting at times. It’s a double edged sword though because obviously on this trip I’ve met so many genuinely amazing people and I’ve done so many things I would never have done without the help of people, but there’s a reason I’m only doing a month here and not the rest of my life. That’s how I’m feeling as I enter my third week here. In positive news, I obviously think this is a brilliant and cool chapter of my life. I’m going to look back on this very positively, and it’s making me appreciate my final move to Japan a lot more.
I don’t want this entry to sound like I’m having a bad time, because I’m not. I just want to ramble about what’s in my head at this very moment.
Besides that, I continue to live my life. I’ve been doing more sightseeing, and I’m getting more and more excited for Primavera, which is going to be amazing. Also I’m being semi-consistent with these updates, so whoo!
Thanks for reading.
