Hello world!

Big news and big dilemmas are occurring right now in my brain. I might be changing my big European adventure for a big Asian adventure. Crazy.

The plan originally was to leave the country at the end of April, then do some exploring around Europe at various places, then go to Primavera Sound in Barcelona, then adventure some more before my Visa begins to get processed around the end of June. After that I get back to London, collect my visa, then disappear forever. My new plan is to basically go to Thailand at the end of April, explore the country, fly back to Barcelona for Primavera Sound, then do a final few stops around Europe before collecting my Visa in London. It sounds wild and expensive to add another continent to the mix, but I was mainly thinking of the cost. It’s unbelievably cheap in Thailand, and not super expensive to get one way flights from there, and then to Barcelona. It’s a plan I’ve thought heavily about, but it’s still scary.

Thailand would be cool because I have some family history there, and I also think it’d be a cool stepping stone before Japan. Getting adjusted to a few elements of Asian culture would be very helpful, even though Thailand and Japan are insanely different.

I’ve also been thinking heavily about what to do with my future writing plans, specifically my blog related stuff. I’m going to post on Instagram with the photos I take and a short caption that may or may not be a bit clickbait-y, then post my full journal/story on my Substack. It’d be good to have some cross-platform engagement and all that marketing waffle. It’s just good to post here with stuff that’s a bit more interesting and thoughtful, while my Instagram will just be cool photos.

Besides that, I have just been the same as usual. Just working and saving up. Just thinking about my future.
